Gravel Request Process
1) Complete the Gravel Request Form. Based on the information you provide on the Gravel Request Form, NANA will determine which user category your request falls into, so it is important that the form be completed as much as possible. It can be mailed, faxed, or emailed to:
|NANA Regional Corporation
Attn: Gravel Program
909 W 9th Avenue, Suite 200 Anchorage, AK 99501
|Fax: 907-343-5905||Email: firstname.lastname@example.org|
2) Depending on the information you provide about your request, you may also be required to complete the Material Site Permit and Plan Checklist.
3) For sites where the gravel pit is not active (unpermitted), you may also be required to write and submit to NANA (for approval) a Mining and Reclamation Plan (M&R) Template. For sites greater than 5 acres, you will also need Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Approval of your M&R Plan.
It is important to note that gravel may not be available at all villages and that it may take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to work through the gravel request process.
